"When you attack over 10,000 targets from the air with cruise missiles and ballistic missiles and bombs from airplanes, you are using a lot of munitions, and we do not have an endless supply of these things," Kelly said during his television appearance.

The discussions highlight ongoing debates over defense spending levels and military readiness. Hegseth's outreach to House Republicans represents part of the administration's broader effort to secure congressional support for increased Pentagon funding in upcoming budget negotiations.
