Two separate missing person cases involve international travelers
A British woman has disappeared in France while an Auburn University student was found dead in Japan after going missing during separate incidents.

Two unrelated missing person cases involving international travelers have emerged in recent reports.
Lucy Stemp, a British woman from Tonbridge, Kent, disappeared on May 30 after traveling to France to attend a festival in Brest. Stemp has been missing for approximately one week, according to reports, with her family expressing concern for her safety.
In a separate incident in Japan, an Auburn University student was found dead after going missing during what a family friend described as a solo hike. The student had reportedly gone on the hike away from his family as a form of "decompression."
According to the family friend who spoke Monday, the Auburn student regularly took long walks for relaxation purposes and would not have intended to harm himself. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
Both cases highlight the risks faced by travelers abroad, though the incidents appear to be entirely unconnected. French authorities are presumably investigating Stemp's disappearance, while Japanese officials are handling the Auburn student case.
