CBS Sports Releases Post-Spring SEC Rankings and 2023 NFL Draft Reassessment
CBS Sports published updated SEC conference power rankings following spring practice and revisited NFL draft grades from 2023.

CBS Sports released two separate sports analysis pieces covering college and professional football evaluations.
In college football coverage, the network published post-spring power rankings for the Southeastern Conference, placing the University of Texas at the top of their rankings. The analysis identified Texas A&M and Alabama as prominent teams in what was described as a competitive middle tier of the conference.
The SEC evaluation suggests at least seven teams within the conference maintain realistic College Football Playoff aspirations heading into the 2026 season, reflecting the conference's competitive depth.
Separately, CBS Sports analyst Pete Prisco conducted a retrospective analysis of the 2023 NFL Draft, reassessing his original draft grades from three years prior. The review highlighted the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams as teams that achieved top marks in the reassessment.
Prisco's updated evaluation was less favorable toward the Dallas Cowboys' 2023 draft class, which received significantly lower marks in the retrospective analysis compared to other teams' performances over the three-year period since the draft.
