Israeli forces conducted a strike in Gaza City targeting Izz al-Din al-Haddad, a senior Hamas leader who heads the organization's military wing in the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli officials.

Al-Haddad assumed leadership of Hamas's military operations in Gaza last year, taking control of the group's armed faction known as the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades in the territory.
