Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani Leaves ICU After Pneumonia Hospitalization
Rudy Giuliani has been moved out of intensive care after being hospitalized with pneumonia over the weekend.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has left the intensive care unit after being hospitalized with pneumonia over the weekend, according to his spokesperson.
Ted Goodman, speaking for Giuliani, confirmed that the former mayor was out of the ICU and would spend additional time recovering before being discharged from the hospital. The spokesperson indicated that Giuliani's condition has improved since his admission.
According to Giuliani's representatives, the former mayor suffers from a respiratory condition that is linked to his exposure to toxins at ground zero following the September 11, 2001 attacks. Giuliani served as New York City's mayor during the terrorist attacks and was frequently present at the World Trade Center site in the aftermath.
Giuliani's team has indicated that he is seeking to have his health care covered under the 9/11 health program, which provides medical treatment for individuals who developed illnesses related to exposure to toxins at the attack sites.
The 79-year-old Giuliani, who later served as personal attorney to former President Donald Trump, had been receiving treatment for what was described as a serious case of pneumonia. No timeline has been provided for his expected discharge from the hospital.
