Transportation and Energy Startups Secure Major Funding and Contracts
Several technology companies announced significant deals and funding rounds, spanning electric aviation, energy infrastructure, and manufacturing automation.

Multiple technology startups announced major business developments this week, highlighting continued investment in transportation and energy sectors.
Arbor Energy secured a billion-dollar contract to deliver up to 200 Halcyon turbines for power grid applications. The turbines are designed to operate on either natural gas or waste biomass, representing a significant deployment of rocket turbine technology adapted for electrical generation.
In the aviation sector, federal regulators are advancing an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) program that could enable air taxi operations across 26 states as early as this summer. The program aims to support passenger, cargo, and medical flights, with potential for autonomous operations in the future.
Several companies also announced funding rounds to expand their operations. Arinna raised $4 million in seed funding to develop solar cells specifically designed for spacecraft, utilizing an ultrathin material the company claims will be more flexible and efficient than current space-grade solar technology. Lucid Bots secured $20 million to meet growing demand for its automated cleaning systems, including window-washing drones and power-washing robots.
In the automotive sector, California-based Harbinger announced plans to expand its hybrid powertrain technology into emergency vehicles, including ambulances and mobile healthcare units. The company currently produces recreational vehicles, delivery vans, and box trucks.
Two former SpaceX engineers launched Sift Stack, a company that adapts data infrastructure software originally developed for rocket launches to manufacturing applications. The venture represents part of a broader trend of aerospace technology finding applications in traditional industries.
