In Zaporizhzhia, a Russian drone attack killed two people and injured two children, aged 11 and 15, officials reported. The strike occurred as international diplomatic discussions regarding Ukraine were scheduled to take place in the United States.

Separately, Russian attacks targeted Ukraine's northern Chernihiv region, leaving most of the area without electrical power. The extent of the damage to power infrastructure and timeline for restoration was not immediately clear.

The attacks represent a continuation of Russia's campaign against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which has been ongoing since the conflict began. Ukrainian officials regularly report strikes on power facilities, residential areas, and other civilian targets throughout the country.
