A female prison officer at HMP Belmarsh has been charged with misconduct following allegations of an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.

Michelle Molver, 30, is accused of having improper contact with Kemai Mathurine, 23, a convicted murderer serving time at the maximum security facility in Woolwich, London.

According to court documents, Molver allegedly admitted to kissing the inmate and sending him letters while employed at the prison. The charges relate to misconduct in public office.
