Separate knife attacks in Belfast and Manchester result in multiple arrests
Two unrelated incidents involving knife attacks occurred in Belfast and Manchester, resulting in arrests and multiple injuries.

Police have arrested suspects following two separate knife attacks that occurred in Belfast and Manchester, leaving several people injured.
In Belfast, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on Kinnaird Avenue in the north of the city at approximately 10:30 PM on Monday. The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed the arrest after what they described as a serious attack that left one person with significant injuries. Bystanders reportedly intervened during the incident.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the Belfast incident as "sickening" in response to the attack.
Separately, three people sustained knife wounds at Co-op Academy in Blackley, Manchester, during what police termed a "serious incident" on Tuesday morning. A female student was arrested in connection with the attack at the school located on Plant Hill Road.
The Manchester school was placed in lockdown following the incident as emergency services responded to the scene. Police have not released details about the conditions of the injured parties in either incident.
Both investigations remain ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding each attack.
