An American doctor who contracted Ebola while working in the Democratic Republic of Congo has recovered from the deadly virus and been discharged from a German hospital.

Dr. Peter Stafford was working with a missionary group in Congo when he became infected with the virus last month. He was subsequently transported to Berlin for medical treatment.
