A handcuffed suspect allegedly escaped from police custody and stole a Dallas police cruiser before jumping from the moving vehicle, according to authorities.

The incident occurred when the suspect reportedly slipped out of his restraints while in police custody. The individual then gained control of the police vehicle, which had an officer trapped in the back seat during the ordeal.
