Two separate multi-vehicle crashes in different parts of the UK have resulted in fatalities and serious injuries involving children.

In Wales, a father-of-two identified as Rhys Jenkins, 41, was killed in a head-on collision on the A483 near Welshpool. His 9-year-old son Ioan was airlifted to hospital from the crash scene. Court proceedings are ongoing regarding the incident, which allegedly involved two vehicles.

In a separate incident in Cornwall, an 8-year-old boy died and another child remains in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash near Connor Downs. Devon and Cornwall police responded to the scene shortly before 11am on Friday.
