Sony Announces Gaming Hardware Launch Dates; AMD Extends Processor Support
Sony revealed August launch details for gaming accessories while AMD announced extended processor socket support through 2029.

Sony has announced launch details for upcoming gaming hardware, including the FlexStrike fight stick and a 27-inch gaming monitor, both scheduled to release in August.
The FlexStrike fight stick will be available starting August 6th, coinciding with the release of the PlayStation-published fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Sony has not yet disclosed the complete pricing details for the gaming accessories.
Separately, AMD has announced it will extend support for its Socket AM5 platform through at least 2029, providing users with a longer upgrade path for processors. The company is also maintaining support for its previous-generation AM4 socket, which continues to receive new processor releases despite being succeeded by AM5.
As part of AMD's processor lineup updates, the company has priced the 5800X3D processor at $349 and introduced the new 7700X3D model at $329. The X3D series processors feature AMD's 3D V-Cache technology designed to improve gaming performance.
The extended socket support represents AMD's commitment to providing customers with longer hardware compatibility cycles, allowing users to upgrade processors without requiring new motherboards for several years.
