Vickrum Digwa, 23, was sentenced for fatally stabbing 18-year-old university student Henry Nowak in Southampton city centre last December.

A 23-year-old man has been jailed for the murder of university student Henry Nowak, who was fatally stabbed while walking back from a night out in Southampton.
Vickrum Digwa attacked 18-year-old Nowak with an eight-inch blade in Southampton city centre last December. The victim, who was unknown to his attacker, suffered six stab wounds in the assault.
Nowak was walking back from a night out when the attack occurred. The 18-year-old university student died from his injuries.
Digwa had been carrying the weapon at the time of the attack. Court proceedings resulted in his conviction and sentencing for the murder.
The victim's parents attended court proceedings and have expressed concerns about police handling of the case. They have called for an investigation into what they described as treatment of their son during the incident.
