Nvidia Officially Retires 20-Year-Old GeForce Control Panel Application
Nvidia has officially retired its GeForce Control Panel app after 20 years, completing a transition to its newer Nvidia app that began over two years ago.

Nvidia announced it has officially retired its GeForce Control Panel application after two decades of use on Windows systems. The graphics card manufacturer first announced plans to replace the Control Panel with a new Nvidia app more than two years ago.
The transition involved gradually porting various features from the legacy Control Panel to the newer Nvidia app over the extended timeline. The company has now completed this migration process and declared the Control Panel officially retired.
The GeForce Control Panel served as the primary interface for users to configure graphics settings, manage driver updates, and access various Nvidia features on Windows computers. The application was a staple tool for PC gamers and graphics professionals who needed to optimize their system performance.
The replacement Nvidia app is designed to provide a more modern interface and streamlined user experience compared to the older Control Panel. Users who previously relied on the Control Panel will need to use the new Nvidia app for graphics configuration and driver management going forward.
