Former Colombo crime family captain Michael Franzese has alleged that Robert F. Kennedy ordered the FBI to target his father, John "Sonny" Franzese, in connection with actress Marilyn Monroe.

The claims were made during an appearance on "Hang Out with Sean Hannity," where Franzese stated that Kennedy directed FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover to focus investigative attention on his father.

According to Franzese's account, the alleged FBI targeting occurred after Monroe purportedly called out his father's name during some form of incident or confrontation involving the Kennedy family.

John "Sonny" Franzese was a longtime figure in organized crime who served as underboss of the Colombo crime family. He died in 2020 at age 103 after serving decades in federal prison on various racketeering charges.

Michael Franzese, who became a cooperating witness after leaving organized crime, has previously made public statements about his family's criminal history and interactions with law enforcement. The allegations represent his personal recollections of events from decades ago involving high-profile figures from the 1960s era.
