White House launches Moms.gov website providing pregnancy resources
The Trump administration unveiled Moms.gov on Mother's Day, a website directing pregnant women to resources and pregnancy support centers.

The White House launched a new website called Moms.gov on Mother's Day, presenting it as a resource platform for new and expecting mothers facing difficult or unexpected pregnancies.
The website's stated mission is to provide "Resources, Information, and Help for New and Expecting Mothers" and to address "the needs of mothers and fathers who face difficult or unexpected pregnancies." The site primarily directs users to Option Line, a referral network operated by Heartbeat International that connects women with Christian pregnancy support centers.
During an Oval Office press conference on Monday, Trump administration officials and Republican congressional members gathered to promote the new website. Dr. Mehmet Oz, who serves as administrator for Medicare and Medicaid in the Trump health department, spoke about fertility rates during the event.
Oz stated that "one in three Americans are under-babied," defining this as people who either have no children or fewer children than they would prefer. He cited fertility rate statistics and predicted an increase in births during the Trump administration, referring to potential "Trump babies."
The website launch represents part of the administration's focus on pregnancy and family issues. The timing of the announcement on Mother's Day and the accompanying White House event highlighted the administration's emphasis on supporting pregnant women and families.
