Fox Sports will make broadcasting history by televising the NFL's first-ever tripleheader on broadcast television during Week 10 of the current season, according to an announcement by Lachlan Murdoch.

The unprecedented Sunday lineup will feature three consecutive NFL games, including a contest broadcast from Munich, Germany. This marks the first time a broadcast network has scheduled three NFL games in a single day on over-the-air television.

The Munich game represents part of the NFL's continued international expansion efforts, bringing American football to European audiences through regular-season contests held overseas. The league has been staging games in London since 2007 and added Germany to its international slate in recent years.

Murdoch's announcement comes as Fox maintains its long-standing partnership with the NFL, holding broadcast rights to NFC games and select playoff contests. The network has been a key NFL broadcast partner since 1994, when it outbid CBS for NFC rights in a deal that helped establish Fox as a major network.

The tripleheader scheduling represents a significant programming commitment for Fox, dedicating an entire Sunday to NFL coverage. Traditional NFL broadcast windows typically feature one or two games per network on Sunday afternoons, making this expanded format notable for both the network and viewers.
