Separately, House oversight committee ranking Democrat Robert Garcia has called on Republican chair James Comer to ensure public access to upcoming testimony from Pam Bondi regarding the Justice Department's handling of Jeffrey Epstein files.
In a letter to Comer, Garcia requested that Bondi's testimony before the oversight panel be filmed and published. Garcia argued that transparency is essential for the American people and survivors of Epstein's crimes who are seeking congressional oversight.
"A failure to film and release a video of Ms Bondi's testimony would present a grave injustice to the American people and survivors of Epstein's crimes, all of whom are calling upon Congress for transparency," Garcia wrote in his letter to the oversight committee chair.
