Eight people were arrested during a protest outside Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, where federal immigration enforcement agents had brought a detainee for medical evaluation.

The incident occurred when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents transported the individual to the hospital. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the detainee was facing assault and drug charges.

Protesters gathered outside the medical facility during the ICE operation. Video footage showed agents later escorting the detainee to a waiting vehicle.

The confrontation between protesters and law enforcement resulted in the arrests of approximately eight to ten demonstrators, with sources providing slightly different counts of those detained.

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center serves the border area between Brooklyn and Queens. The hospital has not commented on the incident or its policies regarding federal immigration enforcement operations on its premises.
