Trump to Host Cryptocurrency Event at Mar-a-Lago for Coin Purchasers
President Trump will speak at a cryptocurrency conference at Mar-a-Lago for buyers of his $Trump memecoin, drawing ethics concerns from Democrats.

President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear as the keynote speaker at a cryptocurrency conference on April 25 at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. The event is being organized for purchasers of Trump's cryptocurrency memecoin called $Trump, which has generated revenue for the president while in office.
The Trump-linked company Fight Fight Fight LLC is promoting the gathering as "THE MOST EXCLUSIVE CRYPTO & BUSINESS CONFERENCE IN THE WORLD" and promises attendees access to a luncheon with Trump as the featured speaker, according to the memecoin's official website and social media accounts.
The announcement has drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers and ethics watchdogs, who argue that Trump is using his presidential position for personal financial benefit, potentially violating traditional ethical standards for the office.
Separately, dozens of protesters, including members of Congress, gathered at the National Mall on Thursday to demonstrate against a dinner hosted by Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison. The dinner, described as "in celebration of the First Amendment" and "honoring the Trump White House and CBS White House Correspondents," was attended by Trump.
The Ellison dinner has faced scrutiny due to the perceived close relationship between the Ellison family and the White House, particularly as the Trump administration considers approval of Paramount's proposed $110 billion merger with CNN parent company WarnerBros Discovery. The dinner took place ahead of Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner, which Trump is also expected to attend.
