Two gunmen were killed and at least one police officer was wounded during an armed attack on a building housing the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul on Tuesday, according to Turkish media reports.

The incident began when attackers armed with long-barreled weapons targeted the high-rise building where the Israeli Consulate occupies one or two floors. A gunfight erupted between the assailants and police responding to the scene.

Turkey's Haberturk broadcaster reported that two attackers were killed during the exchange of fire with police, while a third assailant was captured. One police officer sustained injuries during the clash, though reports vary on the total number of wounded officers.
