Dorset Police were called to a field in East Lulworth at 11:45 PM on Saturday night, where the annual illegal event known as EggTek was taking place. The location was near a British Army base in the rural village.
During the operation to break up the gathering, officers came under attack from revellers who threw missiles at police. At least one officer was reportedly attacked during the incident. More than 100 vehicles were present at the scene.
Police arrested 10 people in connection with the illegal gathering. The operation required riot police to safely disperse the crowd and restore order to the area.
The rave had drawn people from across the region to the remote Dorset location. Police worked through the night to clear the site and ensure public safety in the surrounding area.
