A Florida man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a woman in what authorities are calling a random attack.

Kersten Francilus, 25, allegedly stabbed the victim to death after going door to door in a South Florida neighborhood asking what witnesses described as odd questions. The incident occurred at a Walmart location in Conway.

Police described the attack as random, with no apparent connection between the suspect and victim. According to authorities, Francilus allegedly made statements about fighting a demon during or after the incident.

The victim has been identified as Jordanne Drinkwater, who was fatally stabbed during the attack. Police have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the stabbing or the specific questions Francilus allegedly asked while going door to door.
