In Florida, Representative Byron Donalds holds a commanding lead in the Republican gubernatorial primary, with 46.4 percent support from 465 likely Republican primary voters surveyed. The Emerson College poll found Donalds significantly ahead of other candidates, including Florida Lieutenant Governor in the race.

The Florida survey also tested a hypothetical general election matchup, showing Donalds as the favorite against Democratic frontrunner David Jolly. The polling data suggests strong early positioning for both House Republicans in their respective statewide campaigns.

Both polls were conducted by Emerson College Polling, with the Kentucky survey done in partnership with FOX56. The surveys provide early snapshots of voter preferences in what are expected to be competitive Republican primary contests in both states.
