Two Separate Fugitive Arrests: Canadian Murder Suspect and Escaped Detainee Captured
Authorities arrested a Canadian murder suspect in Mississippi and recaptured a Michigan woman who escaped from a police cruiser.

Law enforcement agencies reported two separate fugitive arrests this week involving individuals who had evaded custody.
Adrian Vincent Walker, listed among Canada's top 25 most wanted fugitives, was arrested in Tupelo, Mississippi. Walker was wanted in connection with a deadly murder that occurred in Toronto in 2024. According to the Department of Homeland Security, Walker was in the United States illegally at the time of his arrest.
In a separate incident, Kendra Aney was taken back into custody in Michigan on Tuesday. Aney had gained widespread attention on social media after video footage showed her escaping from a Muskegon Heights police cruiser while handcuffed. The video, which went viral, captured Aney wriggling through the vehicle's window despite being restrained.
Aney had remained at large for several days following her escape before being apprehended again by authorities. The circumstances of her recapture were not immediately detailed.
Both arrests represent successful conclusions to manhunts that had drawn public attention, though through different means - Walker through his placement on Canada's most wanted list and Aney through viral social media coverage of her escape.
