Meanwhile, according to an Axios report, Democratic strategists are reportedly engaging in their own early discussions about candidate profiles for 2028, with some suggesting the party may need to consider a straight, White, Christian male candidate as their best electoral option.

Vance's involvement with the donor network dates back to his pre-political career when he worked as a venture capitalist. He founded the organization before launching his successful 2022 Senate campaign in Ohio, which eventually led to his selection as former President Trump's running mate.
