Florida Governor Signs Bill to Rename Palm Beach Airport After Trump
Ron DeSantis signed legislation renaming Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport, pending federal approval.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation on Monday to rename Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport, marking the latest facility to bear the former president's name.
The renaming bill passed the Florida House by a vote of 81-30 and the Florida Senate by 25-11 last month. The legislation gives the state authority to name major commercial service airports within Florida.
The airport rebrand will take effect on July 1, pending approval from the Federal Aviation Administration. Palm Beach International Airport is located approximately 5 miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.
Trump's family business filed a trademark application for the proposed airport name in February in response to the Florida legislation. The move adds to a growing list of buildings, institutions, government programs, and other facilities that have been named after Trump.
The airport serves the West Palm Beach area and handles commercial flights throughout South Florida. Federal aviation authorities will need to review and approve the name change before it becomes official.
