Interior Secretary Doug Burgum claimed during a White House cabinet meeting Thursday that Venezuela plans to honor President Trump with a statue, according to reports from the session.

The statement came during what observers described as another meeting featuring praise from cabinet members toward the president. Burgum's comment about the proposed Venezuelan statue stood out among the remarks made during the gathering.

The cabinet meeting also included discussion of other Trump-related commemorative items currently in development. A new commemorative gold coin worth $1 is being planned, featuring Trump at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. The Commission of Fine Arts, appointed by the president, has recommended the coin be made "as large as possible."

Additionally, Trump's signature is scheduled to appear on U.S. dollar bills later this year, marking the first time a sitting president's signature would appear on currency. Other proposed projects include a 250-foot arch that would rank among the tallest structures in Washington D.C., a city with established height restrictions on development.

The United States conducted military operations in Venezuela in January. No confirmation has been provided by Venezuelan officials regarding any plans for a statue honoring Trump.
