Several publicly traded companies provided updated financial guidance and business outlooks in recent announcements, spanning sectors from artificial intelligence to manufacturing.
OpenAI reported that its U.S. advertising pilot program has generated more than $100 million in annualized revenue within six weeks of launch, according to Reuters. The artificial intelligence company's advertising initiative represents a new revenue stream beyond its existing subscription and enterprise services.
Meta announced an increase in its investment for an El Paso data center project to $10 billion, according to Bloomberg. The social media giant's expanded commitment reflects growing infrastructure needs for its platforms and metaverse initiatives.
In the transportation sector, American Airlines disclosed it is in discussions with Starlink and Amazon regarding Wi-Fi service upgrades for its aircraft fleet, CNBC reported. The airline is also considering reintroducing seatback entertainment screens, which were removed from many aircraft in recent years.
