UAE Intercepts Iranian Drones; Baltic States Report Ukrainian Drone Incidents
The UAE intercepted nine Iranian drones while Estonia and Latvia reported stray Ukrainian drones hit their territories during Ukraine's attack on Russian port.

The United Arab Emirates announced Wednesday that it intercepted nine Iranian drones, according to UAE officials.
Separately, Estonia and Latvia reported that stray Ukrainian drones struck their territories, with both Baltic nations confirming the incidents occurred on their soil.
The drone incidents in Estonia and Latvia took place on the same night that Ukraine conducted what officials described as a massive attack on Russia's port of Ust-Luga, located near the Estonian border.
The timing of the Baltic incidents coinciding with Ukraine's military operations suggests the drones may have veered off course during the cross-border attack. Ust-Luga serves as a major Russian port facility in the region.
Neither Estonia nor Latvia immediately reported casualties or significant damage from the drone incidents. The countries have been monitoring increased military activity in the region since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.
The UAE incident appears unrelated to the European drone activities, representing a separate development in Middle Eastern tensions involving Iranian unmanned aircraft.
