The husband of a U.S. soldier killed in Kuwait has spoken publicly about his wife's military service and the impact of her death on their family.

Joey Amor gave an exclusive interview to CBS News about his wife, Army Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, who was killed in an Iranian drone strike at a U.S. command center in Kuwait. The attack occurred on March 1, one day after hostilities began between the United States and Iran.

Nicole Amor, a Minnesota mother of two who served in the Army Reserve, was among six soldiers killed in the drone attack. According to her husband, she was days away from completing her tour in Kuwait and returning home when the strike occurred.

In the interview, Joey Amor described his wife as "the glue" for many people and reflected on her bravery and dedication to military service. He also discussed the difficult task of informing their children about their mother's death and shared his final moments with his wife.
