Raw cheddar cheese linked to E. coli outbreak across three states
Federal health officials identify California company Raw Farm's cheddar cheese as likely source of E. coli infections in California, Florida and Texas.

Raw cheddar cheese produced by California-based Raw Farm has been identified as the likely source of a multistate E. coli outbreak, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The FDA determined that Raw Farm's raw cheddar cheese is the probable cause of several E. coli O157:H7 infections reported in California, Florida and Texas. Seven people have allegedly been sickened in the outbreak, though no Raw Farm products have tested positive for the bacteria.
Raw Farm is described as the country's largest raw milk distributor. The company has disputed the federal allegations, calling them false and characterizing the investigation as "extreme harassment towards our brand."
The company has not issued a voluntary recall of its products in response to the FDA's findings. E. coli O157:H7 is a particularly dangerous strain of the bacteria that can cause severe illness and complications.
The outbreak investigation remains ongoing as health officials work to determine the full scope of infections and prevent additional cases.
