Two separate murder cases involve husbands charged with killing wives
Courts in Wales and Ohio are handling distinct cases where husbands are accused of fatally stabbing their wives.

Two separate murder cases involving husbands accused of killing their wives are proceeding through courts in different countries.
In Cardiff, Wales, Alireza Askari, 42, has admitted to stabbing his estranged wife Paria Veisi, 37, to death at their former shared home in Penylan in April of last year. Court proceedings indicate that Askari buried Veisi's body in a makeshift grave in the garden following the killing.
Meanwhile, in Ohio, Kyle Long has been charged with murdering his wife Rachel Long. According to authorities, Long initially claimed his wife died by suicide, but investigators determined she suffered 17 stab wounds. Long has told authorities he heard laughter followed by screams before discovering his wife in a dying condition.
The two cases represent separate criminal proceedings with no apparent connection beyond the similar nature of the alleged crimes. Both involve domestic violence situations that resulted in fatal stabbings.
The Cardiff case appears to be moving toward sentencing given Askari's admission of guilt, while the Ohio case against Kyle Long is proceeding through the investigation and charging phase. Authorities in both jurisdictions continue to handle their respective cases through their legal systems.
