Authorities are seeking a white Subaru Outback with license plate U560YF in connection with the case, but have warned residents not to approach the vehicle if spotted. The State Bureau of Investigation and Crime Lab are supporting the investigation, with multiple scenes being processed in Torrey and surrounding areas.
As a precautionary measure, local schools were closed Thursday and Friday. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office advised residents Wednesday night to keep their lights on, doors locked, and to remain home or with others during the ongoing search.
County officials announced that counselors will be available to support students when schools reopen next week. The investigation continues as authorities work to locate the suspect.
