Pentagon Identifies Six U.S. Service Members Killed in Kuwait Drone Attack
Six U.S. military personnel died Sunday in a drone strike at Kuwait's Shuaiba Port, with the Pentagon releasing their identities over several days.

The Pentagon has identified all six U.S. service members killed in a drone attack at Shuaiba Port in Kuwait on Sunday. The Defense Department released the final two names on Wednesday, completing the identification process that began earlier in the week.
The attack targeted a tactical operations center at the port facility, according to Pentagon officials. The incident occurred one day after the United States and Israel conducted strikes against Iran, though no direct connection between the events has been officially established.
Among those killed were Major Jeffrey R. O'Brien, 45, of Indianola, Iowa, and Chief Warrant Officer Robert Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, California. Sergeant Declan J. Coady was also identified as one of the casualties. The remaining service members have not been publicly named in available reports.
The victims were part of an Iowa-based logistics unit responsible for supplying troops with food and equipment. Family members of Sergeant Coady described him as "smart and kind" and "a rock in all of our lives" in a statement released following his death.
The Pentagon followed standard protocol in releasing the names of the fallen service members over several days, allowing time for family notification procedures to be completed before making the identifications public.
