The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees gymnastics team will compete for their 23rd consecutive Ohio high school state championship on Saturday, extending what has become one of the longest winning streaks in high school sports.

The suburban Cleveland school has dominated Ohio high school gymnastics for over two decades, creating a culture of excellence that has produced consistent championship results since the early 2000s.

Senior gymnasts Rachel Kirin and Kyla Haverdill acknowledge the significant pressure that comes with the program's unprecedented success. "It's definitely a lot of pressure," said Haverdill, who has been participating in gymnastics since infancy. "Most people don't understand that – it's just so expected."

The team's sustained dominance represents an extraordinary achievement in high school athletics, where maintaining competitive excellence across multiple generations of athletes typically proves challenging due to graduation cycles and changing personnel.

Should the Bees capture Saturday's state title, they will add another year to a winning streak that has spanned multiple coaching tenures and hundreds of individual gymnasts, cementing their place among the most successful programs in American high school sports history.
