Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) on Wednesday expressed support for President Trump's military operation against Iran and endorsed Israeli threats to eliminate Iranian leadership, marking a hawkish stance from the Pennsylvania Democrat.

Speaking to reporters, Fetterman described Trump's operation against Iran as "a good thing" and said he was "confident" that the "world is better" following the reported death of Iran's supreme leader and other senior regime officials. The senator characterized the military action as beneficial for global security.

In a separate interview with CNN's Kate Bolduan, Fetterman addressed Israeli threats to target whoever might succeed the slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The senator called such action "entirely appropriate" if Iran's regime does not change its policies and direction.

"Just keep killing them until they're gone," Fetterman told CNN News Central, signaling his support for continued targeting of Iranian leadership. He described the Israeli position as justified given Iran's current trajectory.

Fetterman's comments reflect his continued positioning as one of the more centrist voices in the Democratic caucus on foreign policy issues, particularly regarding Middle East conflicts. His statements come amid heightened tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran following recent military actions in the region.
